Posted 26 Oct 2009 · Report post Thanks, Bob.Thanks, Jim. A good field Corpsmen is about as close to being a Marine as one can come without actually being one. When I was stationed with 1st Armored Assault Battalion during Desert Shield/Storm we had a 2nd Class Petty Officer recieved a Bronze Star for pulling two wounded Marines out of a fire fight and doing field surgery on both which saved thier lives. Thanks, Joss. Thanks, John, that is a very nice picture of some very profound objects to me. For those that do not know the Marine Corps Emblem represents 3 different aspects of the Marine Corps. The Globe represents world wide service (Any Climb, Any Place, Any Time). The Anchor represents Naval Traditions. And the Eagle represents the Nation. Also for those that do not know, there is only one Marine Corps Silent Drill Team (24 men with just 6 alternates) and they perform more than 300 times per year. Thank you, Sophia.
