Happy Birthday! Ray.

And coming from you,

Whether sun, whether pour,

The heroic true

Of the great Marine Corps.

Your gift is like ours,

That we strive to give---

To enjoy the hours

That we gladly live.

For gift such as this

There is better none---

To seek selfish bliss

In the blazing sun,

Hiding not virtue,

Driving straight on---

Nothing can hurt you;

You are the dawn.

Enjoy your day.

Thank you all.

Betsy, the cake's design is wonderful.

Rtg24, I am glad that you found the knowledge useful.

Rose Lake, I love the patriotic theme.

Mercury, I appreciate the "very, very," wishes and will strive to fulfill them.

Paul, I very much appreciate the patriotic and Marine themes.

Kurt, I appreciate the kind words and will strive to make sure I always earn them by keeping my shape. :D

Brian, thanks once again for a poem that brings a smile to my face.

Have a great day, Ray, and many happy returns! Have you taken one of your vehicles for a ride to celebrate? :D

Thank you, CF. I am actually taking out the Mercedes within the hour for a drive around town. :D

Even though I am a former "squid", I say "Semper Fi!" and "Happy Birthday!"

I was a Navy Corpsmen with 1st Radio Battalion out of Kaneohe MCAS; you guys protectively watched out for me while I did my job. Thanks!!

Thanks, Bob.

Thanks, Jim. A good field Corpsmen is about as close to being a Marine as one can come without actually being one. When I was stationed with 1st Armored Assault Battalion during Desert Shield/Storm we had a 2nd Class Petty Officer recieved a Bronze Star for pulling two wounded Marines out of a fire fight and doing field surgery on both which saved thier lives.

Thanks, Joss.

Thanks, John, that is a very nice picture of some very profound objects to me. For those that do not know the Marine Corps Emblem represents 3 different aspects of the Marine Corps. The Globe represents world wide service (Any Climb, Any Place, Any Time). The Anchor represents Naval Traditions. And the Eagle represents the Nation. Also for those that do not know, there is only one Marine Corps Silent Drill Team (24 men with just 6 alternates) and they perform more than 300 times per year.

Thank you, Sophia.
