Posted 21 Feb 2010 · Report post I have tried to find clear type fonts for the presentation of the messages that I have posted. Others have objected to the bold fonts and different faces, and I have had to accept the small gray type that is the standard on The Forum. Now, my eyes are happy. I find that by the use of my Logitech mouse center roller key and the Logitech keyboard <ctrl> key the SIZE of the displayed font may be increased of decreased. At last I can read The Forum with ease.Inventor
Posted 21 Feb 2010 · Report post Yes, it is an issue of the display on your monitor, not the fonts used in posts. You can set your screen resolution to include more or less information on the display. In addition you have a choice of sizes for which text (and icons), relative to that, is normally displayed on the monitor. You may also want to buy a larger than usual monitor and set it for larger text at relatively low resolution rather than for increasing the amount of information displayed. A big enough monitor may give you the size of text you need while still containing the same amount of information as a normal, smaller monitor shows, so you don't have to gain text size at the expense of the quantity of information you can see displayed all at once.Specific programs, like your browser, have provisions for zooming in and out. The general method you discovered of smoothly zooming with the mouse wheel is the most convenient for making on-the-fly adjustments. If you use the Firefox browser, it will zoom the whole page, including images, not just text.
