Posted 4 Nov 2013 (edited) · Report post There's SO much I would want to ask, but I'd be interested in her opinion of the books Objectivists have written and endorsed since her death. Edited 10 Nov 2013 by Betsy Speicher correction for precision
Posted 4 Nov 2013 · Report post That would be interesting to know. I have enormous respect for Dr. Peikoff, and liked OPAR and The Ominous Parallels a lot. But while I find everything in those books to be valid, Dr. Peikoff's thinking/writing style is different in some way than Ayn Rand's. So, yes, I, too, would like to know what she would think. But as for the question I would most want to ask her myself--I'll have to think about that. (Incidentally, I didn't know where else on the Forum I should have left my initial post. Would another section or department have been better?)
Posted 6 Nov 2013 · Report post I would like to ask her if all of the research in brain function has changed any of her philosophical views; also what impact her studies of mathematics have made. And I'd like to aske her about the impact of the long awaited Atlas Shrugged miniseries.
Posted 8 Nov 2013 · Report post My question: If language--that is, a word--is necessary for the grasping of a concept, is it possible that valid, high-level concepts for which we don't yet have words could be formed sometime in the future?

One describes, and then later places a word for that description.
Posted 10 Nov 2013 · Report post I would ask her to tell her story.I love hearing sucessfull people tell the story of their road to sucess. Their thoughts and all the obstacels they fought through. And who would be more fascinating than Ayn Rand?
