interest rates

2 posts in this topic

I have heard you say that when the Fed raises interest rates, it is actually inflationary and not, as conventional wisdom holds, anti inflationary. I thought this was one of the ways the Fed could control the money supply and it was in that way that it was anti inflationary. Would you clarify the relationship between money supply, interest rates and how the Fed affects or controls these. Thank you
