New CDs available!

9 posts in this topic

The first products of my revived musical career are finally ready. My latest CDs are now available via CDBaby.com!

“Concert Electric Guitar” - http://cdbaby.com/cd/schlegel4

“Classical Guitar Sonatas” - http://cdbaby.com/cd/schlegel3

And for reference all my work available via CDBaby are here - http://www.cdbaby.com/all/schlegel

The music on the new CDs should be available for digital distribution starting next week; for example, through Napster, iTunes, MSN Music, Rhapsody. Just search any of those download services for “Christopher Schlegel”.

I have also started posting thoughts about the creative process behind the pieces on these CDs on my "Prodos" blog. The first post deals with the first piece on the "Concert Electric Guitar" CD.

Happy listening!

“Classical Guitar Sonatas” - http://cdbaby.com/cd/schlegel3

Chris,

Congratualations on all of the hard work and getting your CDs on CDBaby! I really like the Sonatas. They remind me of some of the guitar works of Villia Lobos.

Glenn

Thanks, Glenn. Means a lot coming from such a skilled and knowledgable musician! Is there any piece in particular that reminds you of Villa-Lobos? I appreciate that as perceptive praise.

I'll have to check out my Villia-Lobos albums.

Ah, don't go to THAT much trouble! I just thought if you could rattle it right off... But, really, don't worry about it. :) The compliment is more than enough & worth a great deal as is. Thanks again.

My latest CD is now available via CDBaby.com.

“Piano Waltzes No. 1 - 24” - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/schlegel5/

I wrote these pieces years ago. But recently re-recorded them with my Garritan software (http://www.garritan.com). I've mentioned and linked samples of them on the Forum in the past. On the CDBaby page linked above you can sample all 24 of them.

As usual, all the individual tracks should be available for digital distribution sometime soon; for example, through Napster, iTunes, Rhapsody. I've already received notice the CD has been processed by Apple iTunes.

Happy listening!

Christopher, the samples are extremely interesting, full of a variety of sincere feelings and thoughtfulness. The $15 for the CD shapes up to be a huge profit for anyone interested in hearing something new and worthwhile in classical music. Great job! And thank you!

You're welcome. I've ordered the CD and should get it soon. It will be interesting to hear how each piece developes and where it goes.
