Posted 3 Aug 2008 · Report post After years of resisting and then finally relenting (due primarily to the glowing reviews of our dear departed friend Stephen) I finally bought the first six seasons of West Wing. I have now watched the entire first season and have started the second.I must say Stephen was right: it's a brilliant show. As many have said, it is liberal-left in its views, but these characters have real convictions, and not just mindless bromides. Of course I would prefer to see more Objectivist ideas, but as a drama, it is riveting. I now understand why it won so many awards.I absolutely LOVE Allison Janney as the press secretary.
