Recipe forum?

I'm just trying to revive this thread, if ony to get Stephen and Betsy to consider adding a recipe section.

Sorry, Rose Lake, I missed your mention of this earlier in the thread, and I split this as a topic in the SUGGESTION BOX forum.

I'm sure you know that you are always welcome to start a thread, so I guess you are suggesting an actual forum devoted to recipes. A few questions.

- Do you think there is enough general interest to warrant a separate forum?

- Where would it go? Perhaps a sub-forum of another forum category?

- Or, do we need a forum category related to, say, home-oriented topics, of which recipes would be a sub-forum?

I'm open to hear Rose Lake's view on this, as well as views from other members.

I'm not sure about how much interest there would be, but a home-oriented category sounds interesting. Maybe with subcategories like interior decorating or home repairs.

I think a home-oriented category would be a fabulous idea! I'd include categories for gardening, interior decorating, baking/cooking (wine and coffee subjects are always interesting as well). Home repairs would be useful too!

I'm warming up to this whole HOME forum category (see what you started, Rose Lake! ), with sub-forums along the lines mentioned by Paul and Elizabeth. Perhaps sub-forums like:

- Decorating and Repairs

- Gardening

- Recipes

- Cooking and Baking

- Food and Shopping

- Wine, Coffee, and Other Drinks

Any suggestions -- additions, deletions, reorganizing -- are welcome before I create the forums.

I love the recipe category idea!! I adore cooking and would love to contribute and get new ideas!!

It would be also interesting to discuss within that category what kind of tates and textures work together and why. I am very big on a "harmonious" meal where all the different tastes compliment eachother.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner. We were very busy -- eating turkey and bacon sandwiches with blue cheese and cranberry sauce. Oh yeah, and my husband was building some storage space too. I just thought it would be nice to be able to find recipes in general, without making a special search.

I was thinking that the recipes would probably go in the Rational and Recreational category -- but a HOME forum sounds just fine. I had a gutter question earlier, and forgot where I decided to post that (probably Rational & Recreational, though it wasn't exactly recreational) -- so maybe a HOME forum would be a good idea. I may have another question about furnaces coming up soon. So, I can see how having all the HOME concerns together makes sense.
