Stephen:

I don't have a clue how this is done, but I know it can be done: can you enable users to use html tags in their posts? Right now users (at least me) can only use BB code, e.g.

[i] [/i]

need to be used for italicizing words in BB code, but I prefer to use

<i> </i>

(which is html). This is really just my own personal preference, as I usually code in html and so am always in that mindset. Also, there are a couple of reasons why these tags are more efficient than the BB tags: the "<" and ">" don't require a pinkie while the "[" and "]" do, and use of the I button in the tool-bar requires that one stop typing in order to activate it.

HTML in posts is an option, which I have disabled, for security reasons.

Oh, OK, thanks for responding to my inquiry.

You're welcome.

It appears that embedded HTML is a major security issue. I do not know all the details, but I have been strongly advised to disallow it.
