That is cool. I could see someone using that technology to frighten people outside of a theater, the way Orson Welles did with his War of the Worlds radio broadcast.

Actually if they indeed could cast a 3d projection into open space, that would be astounding beyond belief. In this case this isn't strictly a hologram, but light projected on a carefully directed water jet spray.

There already are projectors that can do such a thing; I don't believe it is possible in 3D yet though.
