Posted 9 May 2008 · Report post I'm not talking about like global warming, because I can see how they piece that together (no matter how stupid their logic is).I couldn't believe I heard this one. This happened after the tsunami in SE Asia. This really shows the anti-mankind philosophy. They suggested to me that humans are causing an increase in Earthquakes and an increase in the magnitude of them. There is absolutely no response you can make to that except, "did you learn about tectonic plates when you were 8?"And of course, when they say human activity is causing this, they don't mean hippies or greenies are doing it. They mean evil corporations.

It's logically consistent, just one of countless attacks geared towards the same goal.I don't think that Bill Gates wants to kill off humanity. But he is stupid when it comes to understanding altruism in society. "Let me see, $3 billion every year, or $1.44 per house per year?" Hmmm. Even a pragmatic business man should be able to grasp that monetary comparison. To go below the mentality of a pragamatic businessman requires some effort. It rather encapsulated the movement
Posted 9 May 2008 · Report post Yeah, I remember that Penn & Teller episode. I liked when the representative of some big green group was answering their questions. She was going on about how animals were dying and going extinct in the rain forest."Why as human beings should we care if these animals go extinct?"*blank look* no answer.----------------I never heard of this DDT stuff. Took a quick peek at what it is, and it sounds great.

But I agree: this (these) are the strongest force(s) for evil in Western Civilization at this time.
Posted 14 May 2008 · Report post My favorite stupid quotes are all those predictions from the 1970s where they predicted global catastrophe by whatever arbitrary date they came up with. 2000 was a popular date with most of their doomsday prophecies. Its fun reading them because it demonstrates how certifiably wrong they are.Environmentalism is the new Communism. It's a new, convenient excuse to enslave humanity. Luckily, I don't see it becoming a major power due to the general inconsistency of their arguments, short of another Bolshevik-esque political catastrophe

Luckily, I don't see it becoming a major power due to the general inconsistency of their arguments, short of another Bolshevik-esque political catastropheI don't share your optimism; Green parties are rarely elected, but green ideology is everywhere, even our kids are being brainwashed with Gore's movie in schools and "climate champion" awards (just like the young pioneers, Hitler youth or Orwell's junior league of spies). Often the smarter politicos know it is nonsense to scare the children with, but it is a convenient excuse for more taxes/less freedom.Hence I think there is every chance it will become a major power by default. Posted 16 May 2008 · Report post even our kids are being brainwashed with Gore's movie in schools and "climate champion" awards (just like the young pioneers, Hitler youth or Orwell's junior league of spies). You have no idea. I'm 14, so I see the effects very well. It's like the plague; it's the most popular thing now: Go Green! Save the Earth! It bugs the hell out of me that you can't find more then 6 teenagers in the whole country who aren't proud Greens. It really is this generation's cause. If someone doesn't explain to them quickly why environmentalism is wrong, we're headed toward disaster. Everywhere, everyone is advertising how green they are. Sometimes I wish somebody would start a buisness just for the sake of being a company that openly expresses it's anti-environmentalism. Like a clothing shop that produced shirts saying "I hate the color Green. I prefer Grey." And put plaques on it's buildings saying "Most Environmentally Unfriendly business in the city!" Posted 16 May 2008 · Report post My biology professor in one course told us about an environmentalist gathering he has participated on, to protest against acid rains (as caused by humans). One speaker told the crowd from the podium: "Currently, ladies and Gentlemen, the PH of acid rain can reach up to about 4. We will fight, and will not surrender, until PH will drop to zero!!!" YEAH!!! The crowd cheers in response - TO ZERO!!!

Posted 16 May 2008 · Report post A new study just published in the prestigious British medical journal, The Lancet, is pretty high up there in the stupid rankings.Guess what they decided was a significant cause of global warming? (Click here)How soon will it be before we're ordered to eat only what the gummint allows? Kids in the U.S. (well, those "poor enough" anyway, though in my school district somehow every last one of them qualifies) already get two of their daily meals every weekday at school, and I can attest that once there is control over serving the food, what is served is dictated as well. It's crappy (brown food on even days, gray food on odd days), but it has all the politically-correctly "healthy" ingredients. At one of the two high schools I sub at, they even took the soda machines out of the TEACHER'S areas. No explanation that I've been able to find, but I can hazard a guess...If "obesity" is stigmatized as causing polar bears to forget how to swim and be stranded on floating ice, then just like everything else it will come under Al Gore's...um...I mean EPA...well, maybe UN control (now that I think about it, it won't be Al Gore - he's a bit of a landmass himself) and we'll all be commanded to look like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, right down to her anorexic glow and his I-used-to-be-a-man-but-now-this-woman-keeps-my-testicles-in-a-jar-on-the-nightstand facial expressions (just look at him on the cover of any celebrity rag at the checkout - he looks exactly like that every single time).Better eat lotsa pizza while I still can... (Click here)Oh for heaven's sake! Obesity a significant contributor to Global Warming? I guess they should just shoot fat people. At least they're an easy target... literally. This kind of rubbish belongs in The Journal of Irreproduceable Results, not in The Lancet, an allegedly responsible journal for the medical profession. Speaking of JIR, here's some scientific ammunition against the GW crowd, having at least as solid a grounding in observed fact:
