Posted 22 Jun 2008 · Report post This is a program that was written at MIT. It's called "Assist Sketch Understanding System and Operation". A mouth full, but it really does "understand" what you draw and then it will simulate the environment you create. Apparently it's from a couple of years back. I wonder what was that "pen" he was using, and what was picking up the movements.There are commercial systems that can record the position and "pen color" by tracking the movement of various physical pens, drawing on a whiteboard. It might have been one of those, or perhaps a system they ginned up themselves using similar principles. It's the "AI" that's the really impressive part here.
