Happy Birthday! Stussy88

May your life be long

And your spirit great,

And may today

Be a day elate

For you, your wife and song,

While values pile up strong.

Happy birthday!

May I sing Glory Britannia, or are you not into antique anthems? B)

Thanks to all

Perhaps, given my nationality ... "Men of Harlech"

Happy Birthday, tosser. What's a tosser anyway? I visualize someone who throws up from eating too much birthday cake. B)

You're probably in trouble now, because I'm pretty sure it's a derogatory term. Glad I didn't say it. :)

Oh dear, maybe he can forgive me since I do have a Welsh first name, even if my maternal unit did spell it incorrectly - should have be Bryn. In fact I often think of legally changing it to Lady Bryn as I tire of being called Brian. When I owned a cabinet shop, I added Lady, borrowing it from an ancestor (in fact during the 1700s on one paternal branch - the 3 most popular names for girls were Lady, America and Polly), because a lot of vendors refused to believe I was the owner, insisting I had to be just the secretary. Always having to explain, got old quick.

Yes, I fear it is not generally a pleasant term in the popular vernacular, relating instead to one with a penchance for onanism due to a lack of alternate options, but I'm sure no offence was intended. :)

Churchill was clearly right when he spoke of two people seperated by a common language. (Indeed, a friend who took a recent trip to the US recent, found himself unable to order water unless he adopted an American accent in NY, as we seem to pronounce it "war-ter" whereas the local dialect had it "wo-tuh" :) )

Definitely no offense intended (I heard on a recent *football* movie), but as I see it, y'all just make up a words after we left to get even for being seditious and refusing to pay taxes to the crown. :)

As a general rule, if you hear on a football movie, it is generally slang, a bit rude, and said in an affected "mockney" accent

Happy birthday to you, Stussy. As I am in that farflung city of Sydney, I sometimes get confused who in the world is yesterday, today, or tomorrow. Whatever the case, I hope it is/was wonderful!
