Liberal Indoctrination of school children

This is appalling. Am I wrong or does this smack of the methods employed by the communists.

Isn't the process that the school board must approve a text book before it is distributed to students?

If you would like to see the 15 page story on Obama, it appears that you can order this book online. There is a note in the book that says, For more on Barack Obama, visit the Literature Center at www.ClassZone.com The book is: Wisconsin - 8th grade - McDougal Littell Literature - copyright 2008. The Obama story starts on page 830. I hope you will take the time to look at this book. I'm really angry about this - in fact, I would love to rip the pages right out of this book.

By the way, you might find this interesting: I did a little checking on McDougal Littell, and it appears that MCDOUGAL, ALFRED L CHICAGO , IL 60611 - N/A/RETIRED has been making contributions to Barack Obama's campaign!

I found that information on this website.

Now I'm not an expert at these things (just a PTA mom), but It looks to me like Alfred McDougal is connected to McDougal Littell the same company that publishes the 8th grade textbook that has 15 pages on Obama. Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I'm sure you have someone who can delve into the dirty little details.

It's a given that this won't make MSM.

Can the news and Obama's lack of integrity get any worse?

Yuck. I scanned over some of the comments. I hear a lot of people afraid and disgusted at "becoming more socialist", but I wonder if Americans will do more than treat it as the floating abstraction that they have so far. Will they, for instance, connect their revulsion to supporting socialist causes, like universal healthcare or environmentalism or "energy policy" or the United Nations? Will they connect it to putting socialist men in power to implement socialist policy. Will they connect it to broader, cultural trends, like "corporate responsibility" or the socialist media or multiculturalism or frivolous lawsuits? Will Americans ever get back to saying, "I want a government that lets me live my life and lets everybody else do the same"?

They probably won't make those connections without our help, so let's help them. Since we see what they don't, it is up to us to show them the way.

I try, with those who want to listen to reason.
