Supreme Court may disqualify Obama in December

Folks, it's not over yet. Obama's status as a natual born U.S. citizen is in dispute, and it has nothing to do with his birth certificate. If the SCOTUS backs this, he can't become POTUS.

I have a Republican acquaintance who will talk your ear off about how Obama was born in Kenya, how ACORN registered millions of illegal aliens and how Obama refused to disclose the source of his campaign funds (much of which she says came from other countries and therefore should have disqualified him from the race). I'm sure there are a dozen more conspiracy theories out there, but I think they're very poor attempts to avoid the reality that McCain was a bad choice (even out of the candidates available) and that's the reason he lost.

If this issue does get to the USSC, huge "If", IMHO, I'd rather the Court abolish the natural citizen prerequisite.

Um, Betsy, did you actually read what I wrote? I said, "it has nothing to do with his birth certificate." This is about Barrack's father being a Kenyan citizen at the time of his birth. And unless this is a fake, Justice Thomas took it seriously enough to bring it to the attention of the rest of the SCOTUS.

Absolutely. McCain was not just bad, he was horrendous. I did vote for him on the lesser of the two evils theory, but I was not in the least bit disappointed that he lost.

The Supreme Court did not step in and stop Bill and Hillary Clinton from being "Co-Presidents" nor did Congress, but they did it any way.

Has anyone read retired FBI agent Gary Aldrich's book Unlimited Access: An FBI Agent Inside the Clinton White House? Even though Gary Aldrich claims that he was apolitical, he seems to stand for America and it's Constitution, and in his book he demonstrates that the Clintons did not.

More serious is the move to legislate away the Constitutional requirement for the electoral college.

The National Popular Vote legislation would require each state Elector to vote for the candidate who won the national popular vote – regardless of how his particular state voted. A similar proposal would require that the Electors’ votes be proportioned to represent the percentage each candidate received. Either method would result in changing the Constitution through legislation, and bypassing the Constitutional amendment process. But it would do much, much more. It would give the presidency to the candidate chosen by urban population centers, and effectively disenfranchise small, rural states.
