"Rising Carbon Dioxide Is Great for Plants"

3 posts in this topic

Here is a fun and short article giving an excellent summary of why more CO2 is great for our overlord, Mother Gaia:

http://www.purgit.com/co2ok.html

About the author: "SYLVAN H. WITTWER, professor emeritus of horticulture at Michigan State University, directed the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station for 20 years, and chaired the Board on Agriculture of the National Research Council. He is the author of the world's leading textbook on greenhouse vegetables, and is co-author, most recently, of Feeding a Billion: Frontiers in Chinese Agriculture."

He has a book on Amazon that looks interesting:

Just to be explicit about this, I personally don't necessarily agree with this statement of the author:

There is no question that the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere has been rising, and that this rise is due primarily to the burning of fossil fuels and to deforestation.

This excellent article for example completely dismantles the notion that we are significantly altering the concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere:

If you can find the time to read one honest article on this controversial issue this one is it because it destroys Global Warming at the very root by showing that we have no significant effect on global CO2 levels either way, and that the concentration of CO2 is determined by completely natural cycles which are far more powerful than the relatively tiny amount of CO2 we spew from smokestacks.
