This is my re-write of the lyrics for Bach's "Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring".

Reason, joy of man's desiring,
Knowing wisdom, love most bright;
Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiring,
Soars with man-created light.
Word of Mind, our flesh impassioned,
With the fire of thinking fashioned,
Striving still with truth new-shown,
Soaring, living, sound and known.

Through the way where Thought is guiding,
Hark, what peaceful music rings;
Where the man, in self confiding,
Drinks of joy from life-long springs.
His is beauty's fairest pleasure;
His is wisdom's loftiest treasure.
Thought dost ever lead Thought's own
In the love of joys high-flown.
