In various contexts, w/no clear pattern, you site requests that I login. But I have logged in. I've activated my cookies, popups, and even cookies re scripts and plugins. Sometimes I lose my text and must reconstruct my thoughts. What can I do? I have a Mac G4 and Netscape 7.02. sad.gif

I would help you if I could, but like your previous problem this seems to be related to the way your computer is set up. In fact, the commonality in both problems is "cookies." If your cookies are working properly, you should be able to stay logged into across different sessions over an extended period of time. Since that is not happening, I suspect your cookie setup might be the problem. Perhaps there is something else that you have not yet activated which will enable cookies. Have you looked at your cookies to see what is there?

You might want to look into how your cookies are set up, as Stephen said. What seems to be happening is that your computer times out your cookies and does not store them across browser sessions. You might want to switch browsers... smile.gif to Internet Explorer or Mozilla.

Some lands are adorned as the birthplace of elephant and lion species, others as the birthplace of horses and dogs, and yet others of creatures the tales of which frighten children. But its land is adorned by the fairest thing on earth, not to be mentioned like some winged ants of India. For it was the first to bear Man."

Er, I meant Internet Explorer or Firefox.

I'm working on my cookies.

You offer fluid (very nice) and IPB skins. I tried IPB, thinking it may require less memory and thus may solve my problems. It didn't.

My computer has a different policy. I don't "limit" cookies to expire, but whenever I visit a new site, I have my computer ask me whether I want to accept cookies from them or not. My policy for most sites is to reject all of their cookies automatically, but for sites like this one I have it automatically accept them. That policy is saved for each site, and I don't have to worry about it every time I go there after that. And my cookies, for the "approved" websites, are stored for as long as that website wants them to be.

I wonder if your computer's timezone/time is set wrong. Its hard to believe, but it might be a worthy line of investigation. Also check your forum account time zone settings. Again, I think the timestamps in cookies are immune from timezone/time settings. But... you never know.
