I always thought "Personnel Department" did the trick.

ARI is hiring a Chief Operating Officer which will allow Dr. Brook to more fully focus on the efforts for which he is uniquely qualified including extensive travel, media and speaking engagements.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

The Ayn Rand Institute is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer to work in our Irvine, California office. This is a challenging, immediately available position reporting to the President/Executive Director.

ARI is a not-for-profit educational organization with the mission of increasing readership of Ayn Rand’s books and promoting Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand, through varied educational and cultural outreach programs. ARI has been in a growth mode since its inception more than 25 years ago, with continued growth expected.

Along with the President/Executive Director and ARI’s Board, the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for establishing and executing the organization’s overall goals and projects through superb executive team management. Additional specific responsibilities will include overall budget planning and maintaining a healthy corporate culture.

The successful candidate must be well acquainted with the principles and applications of Objectivism. The COO must possess a minimum of five years of exemplary “C” level experience, preferably as a COO or CFO. Extensive project management experience and facility with financial analysis and reporting, combined with a creative, entrepreneurial approach, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of delivering clearly organized reports to varying audiences. A Master’s degree or higher in business is preferred.
